Description

Diakon Radish is a cool season, winter-killing cover crop that us used to scavenge left behind nutrients in the soil profile. A deep taproot has allowed for Diakon Radishes to grow in popularity for creating channels through subsoil compaction.

The large taproot that is developed by a radish can absorb and retain a significant amount of macro and micro nutrients that might otherwise be prone to leaching during the post harvest window that fields are left bare in the winter. The robust top growth is widely used for fall grazing and deer plots as a forage option.
